CPSC New eFiling Requirements
Effective 8 July 2026, mandatory electronic filing (eFiling) will be required for all products imported into the United States that are regulated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Additional information will be required for each CPSC-regulated product entering the United States. Certificate of Compliance data must be included with the shipping documentation so it can be electronically submitted to U.S. customs authorities through the CPSC Participating Government Agency (PGA) message set at the time of entry.
This requirement applies to finished consumer products that are regulated by the CPSC and require certification under 16 CFR Part 1110.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulates finished consumer products only.
If you are unsure whether your product is subject to CPSC requirements, you can use the CPSC Regulatory Robot to determine whether your product is regulated and identify any applicable compliance and certification requirements.
Tariff Refund Update
The United States continues to review tariffs that have subsequently been ruled unlawful.
Where refunds are approved by U.S. Customs and Border Protection for shipments processed by New Zealand Couriers, refunds will be passed back to customers as they are received.
Due to the volume of customs entries being reviewed, the refund process is expected to take several months.
