Does my item get delivered to my house on Stewart Island?

No – your item will be delivered to the Stewart Island Visitor Terminal / Main Wharf Halfmoon Bay.

Do I need any special tickets to send an item to Stewart Island?

Yes, you require a Rural Ticket.

All Ferry services are weather dependant, if it’s bad weather the Ferry won't operate.

Can I send an item from Stewart Island?

Yes, any pre-paid packaged item will need to be taken to the Stewart Island Visitor Terminal / Main Wharf Halfmoon Bay, where it will be collected and sent via the Ferry to Bluff and sent off from there - If your item isn’t pre-paid you will need to arrange collection directly with our Invercargill Branch on 03 214 5524.

Freight for Stewart Island is taken to the Freight Shed in Bluff, where it is handed over to Real Journeys Ferry Service and then delivered to Stewart Island.

Do you offer an Overnight service?

It depends on when your item arrives in Bluff from Invercargill. However, if your item misses the early connection from Invercargill to Bluff, it may take an extra day or possibly two.
